Directive 2001/83/EC now requires pharmaceutical companies to emboss Braille product information on all new packaging. “The name of the medicinal product... must also be expressed in Braille format on the packaging.”

We have several clients in the pharmaceutical industry who are required to comply with the changes in packaging law. Tired of laying out dot grids on packaging keylines for diemaking it was decided that a better, faster and more convenient solution to setting Braille text should be found. We developed the PharmaBraille range of Braille fonts and now they are available for all.

The PharmaBraille range of Braille fonts were designed for the needs of pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors and resellers who need to emboss Braille on product packaging in order to comply with European legislation. Our fonts contain the standard letters of the Braille alphabet and produce high quality visual Braille, following the recommended Marburg Medium specification and ECMA Euro Braille Standard - ready to be placed on packaging or label artwork.
