PharmaBraille Marburg Medium Braille fonts

In Europe Directive 2001/83/EC requires pharmaceutical companies to emboss Braille product names and information on all new packaging. Marburg Medium Braille is the Braille font standard recommended by the EC Directive.

To better satisfy the needs of the visually impaired in North America, the International Association of Diecutting and Diemaking (IADD), in association with the Braille Authority of North America (BANA), has created the Can-Am Braille guidelines—also following the Marburg Medium Braille standard.

PharmaBraille fonts are an easy to use, precise and cost effective solution for setting Marburg Medium Braille on artwork to comply with Pharmaceutical Braille Standards for Europe, USA and Canada.

Our OpenType PS Braille fonts contain country-specific Braille characters and accented characters, in addition to the standard characters of the Braille alphabet. PharmaBraille Braille fonts produce high quality visual Braille, conforming to the recommended Marburg Medium specification, North American Can-Am Braille Standard and ECMA Euro Braille Standard.
